About Our Program
Casting Freedom
The program aims to send combat wounded veterans, veterans, and Gold Star Family members enough fishing equipment to get out on the water. We help by providing the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors.
Once a month a combat wounded veteran or Gold Star family member will receive a generous gift allowing them to experience the outdoors.
Our goal is to provide this gift once a month to those who apply for the program. We also plan to send them on fishing trips with our team members and pro anglers.
We invite you to lend a hand, a little goes a long way!
Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund
Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund was established in October 2003 to help our nations military children and disabled/wounded veterans through hardships they face after losing their loved one or after their loved one is unable to provide financially as they once did prior to their disability.
These programs provide emotional, educational, financial, health & well-being, morale and children’s enrichment assistance. We have helped over 800 children and hundreds of military veterans affected by the conflicts in the First Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The motto is giving a "gift" back to those who serve, and we want them to continue to "count on us". We hope you will get involved by making a donation today, no amount is too small.
Help us by spreading the word!
How did
Casting Freedom begin?
I was asked how I cope with mental health issues that I acquired during sustained combat over multiple tours. I answered that I enjoy being active and especially in the outdoors fishing with my family. I also told them that one of the main obstacles is being on a fixed budget and affording quality equipment.
About six months ago I began Casting Freedom in hopes that the program will combat veteran suicide. The trips and equipment sound like just fun activities for those in our program, however it is much more than that. The trips will be alongside a member of our team who are also veterans and can introduce all of our other resources that include scholarships, financial assistance, adopt a family, VA assistance, and also creates a solid support foundation.

Donations go towards
We believe in the Salt Life
Help support our veterans and Gold Star family members as they explore the adventures of saltwater fishing on their path to healing.
Donations will help us continue to provide fishing and outdoor equipment to our veteran community.
What Our Veterans Are Saying
“
The bedrock of Casting for Freedom is the genuine care of the Mental Health well-being of Veterans, period. The way Casting Freedom allows for first time outdoorsman to connect with nature, by supplying them not only with the equipment they need to go fishing that same day, but they also line you up with a mentor who you can learn from. A lot of organizations have the same 5-6 guys they take around to hunt, and fish.
It's nearly impossible to get a foot in the door, let alone have a pro fisherman to mentor you.
I know when I prepare the night before my trip, and I have all my equipment that was sent to me, I am genuinely excited to go outside the next day and be happy. Maybe I lose a little sleep from excitement, but it won't be from anxiety.
That matters to Casting Freedom, that matters to me, and it should matter to you if you care about helping everyone who struggles.
Support this organization if you can. It's a great platform with a great cause, ran by outstanding people who care. “
